'Merlot Splash', a large-flowered daylily, yellow with a large light burgundy eye.

‘Merlot Splash’ offers graceful blooms in a distinctive color pattern.

H. ‘Merlot Splash’ (K. Lamb 2006) Tetraploid

8" M 33" SEV. Pale gold with a large soft burgundy eye above a yellow gold to green throat. Very well-branched and budded, forming eye-catching clumps. Plant in combination with dark purple Heucheras and dark Viburnums, such as V. ‘Diablo’. Sdlg #T9908. Pod parent is probably ‘Desperado Love’; pollen parent unknown. Will poly. Introduced 2007. $25 per double fan.
